The Bangladesh national cricket team have slipped down one spot and are now ranked 10th in the ICC ODI Rankings after the annual rankings update across three formats by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Monday, reports BSS.
The latest update saw them ranked below West Indies as they now have 76 rating points after a four-point decline. West Indies eclipsed Bangladesh with a five-point surge and are now in ninth position with 83 points.
However, Bangladesh retained its place in Tests and T20s. The Tigers are ninth in those two formats with a rating point of 62 in Tests and 225 in T20s.
One-day cricket has always been a place of pride for Bangladesh and considered as the players comfort zone but the latest ranking showed the other side.
While their sensational ODI success began since the 2015 World Cup, the performance in this format has been on the decline in the past year.
Bangladesh has won only three of its nine matches.
