Bangladesh to play Chinese Taipei in place-decider today

Bangladesh National Hockey team will play Chinese Taipei in 7th place deciding match of the 8th AHF Men's Asian Indoor Hockey 2019 at Chonburi in Thailand today (Saturday), reports UNB.

The match will kick off at 1 pm (BdST).

Bangladesh finished 4th in the 5-team Pool A securing 3 points from four matches with one win and three defeats while Chinese Taipei also finished 4th in the 5-team Pool B securing 3 points from four matches with one win and three defeats.

Earlier, Bangladesh started their campaign with a 0-6 goals defeat to Malaysia in the opening match of the tournament at the same venue on July 15.

In their second match, Bangladesh conceded a 0-8 goals defeat to holders Iran on July 16 while they clinched their first win in the tournament beating Philippines by 9-0 goals on July 17.

Bangladesh suffered third defeat to hosts Thailand by 1-3 goals on July 18.
