BCB congratulates Asif Mahmud on appointment as adviser of Youth and Sports Ministry

Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan has been made the adviser of Youth and Sports Ministry of the Interim government headed by Nobel Laureate Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus, reports BSS.
He was given this responsibility through a gazette notification that was published in this regard on Friday.
Asif Mahmud is one of the key organisers of quota reform protest that later turned into an anti-government movement, which eventually toppled the Sheikh Hasina-led government.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) extends its heartfelt congratulations to Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan on his appointment as the Adviser of the interim government responsible for the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
"The BCB is confident that Mr Bhuiyan, with his passion and commitment to the advancement of sports, will provide exemplary leadership and vision in his new role," a press release sent by BCB said.
"His appointment comes at a pivotal time for sports in Bangladesh, and the BCB wishes him every success and looks forward to working together to achieve shared goals for the betterment of cricket in Bangladesh."
