BD Army clinch V-Day Volleyball title

Bangladesh Army clinched the Shahjalal Islami Bank Victory Day Volleyball title beating Power Development Board (PDB) by straight 25-12, 25-21, 25-18 points in the final at Dhaka Volleyball Stadium in the city on Wednesday, reports UNB.

FBCCI President M Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin was the chief guest in the day's final and later he distributed the prizes. Deputy Managing Director of the meet's sponsor Shahjalal Islami Bank M Abdul Aziz was also present as the special guest.

Harjit Biswas of PDB was named as the best attacker, Mohammad Siam of Bangladesh Navy the best defender while Mohammad Mohsin of Army was adjudged the best setter of the tournament.

Earlier, Bangladesh Navy finished 3rd in the meet beating Titas Club by 25-19,

14-25, 25-23, 24-26, 25-7 points in a keenly-contested place deciding match at the same venue on Wednesday.
