Bangladesh defeated United States of America (USA) by seven wickets after Iqbal Hossain Emon's 3-41 helped young tigers to restrict the North American side within 199 at the group stage match of the ICC Under-19 World Cup, report agencies.

Fellow pacer Al Fahad, Shahriar Ahmed and Rizan Hossan grabbed two wickets apiece to complement Emon in making USA batting line up disarray after Bangladesh put them into bat first at Takashinga Sports Club, Highfield, Harare on Friday.

Bangladesh cruised to 201 with two key partnerships, one of Md Azizul Hakim Tamim and Kalam Siddiki Aleen and another by Zawad Abrar and Rifat Beg.

Tamim smashed a couple of fours and sixes during his innings of 64. His 88 run partnership with Aleen took 123 deliveries, while Zawad Abrar and Rifat Beg had a rather faster 78 run partnership off 86 balls.

Abrar was on his way to a quickfire half century with 47 that consisted of five fours and three sixes, but Sahil Garg bowled him out at 14.2 overs.
