BD finish 3rd in South Asian Women's Handball

Bangladesh finished 3rd in the five-nation 5th South Asian Women's Handball Championship losing to hosts India by 11-27 goals in the last match in the Indian city of Lucknow on Tuesday, reports UNB.

India dominated the first half by 12-1 goals. Rubina scored 4, Sumi three and Shilpi two goals for Bangladesh.

Earlier on Monday, Bangladesh made mixed results in the Asian Women's Handball Championship.

Bangladesh women's outplayed Afghanistan by 35-9 goals in the day's first match after clearly dominating the first session by 17-4 goals.

But in the Monday's 2nd match, Bangladesh conceded 17-26 goals against Nepal after trailing by 6-12 goals in the first half.
