BD Spl Olympics contingent to leave for UAE on Mar 08

A contingent of Special Olympics Bangladesh will leave the city for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on March 08 (Friday) to participate in the "Special Olympics World Summer Games Abu Dhabi 2019" beginning there on March 14, reports UNB.
The Bangladesh team, consisting of 103 athletes, will compete in nine different disciplines of sports with a target to clinch 15-25 medals from the ensuing meet.
In Abu Dhabi, the Bangladeshi athletes will prepare themselves for the main part of the event which will begin on March 14.
Cola-Cola Bangladesh will support the Bangladesh team in the ensuing games.
The Special Olympics is the world's largest humanitarian sporting event and a global movement which focuses on the empowerment of people with intellectual disabilities through the power of sport.
