B’desh concede defeats in all matches

Bangladesh Women's Handball team completed their maiden appearance in the 8th Asian Women's Youth Handball Championship with all losses after conceding 16-43 goals defeat against Uzbekistan in their 4th and last group match in the Indian city of Jaipur on Monday, reports UNB.

Bangladesh was trailing by 5-22 goals in the first half of the day's match.

Bangladesh made a frustrating start losing to holders South Korea by 16-55 goals on Wednesday, suffered 9-45 goals defeat against runners-up Japan on Friday, conceded 16-33 goals defeat against Chinese Taipei on Sunday.

Bangladesh put in tough Group A in the 10-team meet along with defending champions South Korea, runners-up Japan, Uzbekistan and Chinese Taipei while Group B teams comprises of hosts India, PR China, Kazakhstan, Nepal and Mongolia.

A 19-member team comprising 14 players and five officials left Dhaka for Jaipur last Monday to perform a good show in their maiden Asian Women's Youth Handball Championship.
