City Club reach final eliminating Indira Road

City Club reached the final of the Dhaka First Division Women's Cricket League eliminating Indira Road Cricket Academy by 7 wickets in the 2nd semifinal on the Gulshan Youth Club ground on Sunday, reports UNB.

City Club will play Sheikh Russel SDA in the final on February 27 at the same venue.

Batting first, Indira Road CA were all out for 151 runs in 39 overs.

Ashrafi Yesmin scored team highest 17 runs while Shibani Rani, Masuma Khatun and Morjina Akter scored 15, 14 and 14 runs respectively.

Taslima Akter claimed two wickets for 29 runs while Srabonti Sarker and Sadia Akter took one wicket each.

In reply, City Club scored 153 runs for 3 in 32.2 overs riding on Sabekun Nahar's unbeaten 55 runs. Later, she was adjudged player of the match.

Besides, Fatema-Tuz-Zohora (34) and Tanjila Akter (26) were the other scorers for City Club.

Alpona Khatun grabbed two wickets for 29 runs.
