Cute Women's H'ball League final today

The title deciding matches and the prize distribution ceremony of the Cute Women's Handball League will be held today (Wednesday) at the Shaheed (Capt) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium in the city, reports UNB.

League leader Dhaka Mariner Young Club will take on their neighbour Arambagh KS at 03:30 pm while another title-contender Madaripur Handball Training Centre will play lowly Quantum Foundation at 01:00 pm on the day to confirm their position in the league.

Dhaka Mariner Youngs Club, which bagged full 21 points from seven matches, needed just an outright victory to assure the league crown.

But, Madaripur Handball Training Centre, having 18 points from seven matches, will play their last league match in a must-win situation to stay in the title race.

Moreover, they had to wait for Mariners defeat against Arambagh.

In Tuesday's matches, Madaripur Handball Training Centre beat RN Sports Home by 69-25 goals after leading the first half 39-12 while Dilkusha Sporting Club beat Viqarunnisa Noon Sports Club by 28-26 goals after dominating the first half by 15-12 goals at the same venue.
