Dulal dominates first day in Gemcon Golf

Mohammad Dulal Hossain of Kurmitola Golf Club dominated the 3rd Gemcon Professional Golf Tournament with six-under par after the first round of the four-day meet at the Kurmitola Golf Course in Dhaka Cantonment on Sunday, reports UNB.

Shakhawat Hossain Sohel, also a golfer of Kurmitola Club, followed the leader with three-under par while Mohammad Robin of Savar Golf Club was in the 3rd slot with two-under-par.

A total of 77 leading golfers of the country alongside 10 amateur ones are taking part in the Tk 1.0 million (10 lakh) prize-money tournament, organised by Bangladesh Professional Golf Association and sponsored by Gemcon Group.

Meanwhile, country's premier golfer Siddikur Rahman will compete in the US$ 20,000,000 Homna Hong Kong Open 2018 billed for November 22-25 at the Hong Kong Club.

Three other Bangladeshi golfers-Mohammad Sayem, Badal Hossain and Mohammad Ismail-will participate in the Indian Oil Servo Masters to be held in Assam from November 21-24 next.
