Eight Bangladeshi cricketers in PSL players’ draft

A total of eight Bangladesh cricketers, so far, have registered for Pakistan Super League (PSL) draft, scheduled to be held on January 11, reports BSS.
For the first time, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have decided to conduct the draft in Balochistan, the country's largest province. As per the latest announcements, the draft will be taking place in the port city of Gwadar.
The eight Bangladeshi players who put their name in the draft are: Shakib Al Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman, Mahmudullah Riyad, Taskin Ahmed, Hasan Mahmud, Rishad Hossain, Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Towhid Hridoy.
A total of 510 cricketers from 19 countries have registered their names in this year's draft. Many of the foreign players who did not get a team in the IPL have registered their names in the PSL draft. According to PSL rules, a franchise can retain a maximum of eight players before the draft. Current champions Islamabad United, two-time champions Lahore Qalandars and 2019 champions Quetta Gladiators have retained eight players each. The other three franchises Karachi Kings, Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi have retained seven players each.
