Eight bronze medals decided in Nat’l Archery

Eight bronze medals of the Teer 10th National Archery Championship were decided on the 2nd day of the three-day meet today (Wednesday) at the Archery Training Centre of Shaheed Ahsanullah Master Stadium in Tongi, reports UNB.

In the medal-deciding matches, Rumman Sana of Ansar beat Mohammad Tamimul Islam of BKSP by 7-3 set points in the recurve men's singles.

Afroza Akter Shati of Ansar defeated Beauty Roy of Teerondaj Sangsad in the recurve women's singles in tie-breaker after the match was locked in 5-5 set points.

In other matches, Teerondaj Sangsad beat Bangladesh Ansar 5-4 set points in the recurve men's team.

Teerondaj Sangsad defeated BKSP by 5-4 set points in the recurve women's team.

In the bronze medal matches of compound division, Sohel Rana of BGB clinched the men's singles bronze medal beating Radhin Bin Taleb of BKSP by 141-130, Bonnya Akter of Ansar defeated Roksana Akhter of Army Archery Club by 144-131 in the women's singles, BKSP team beat ASPTS by 193-184 score in the women's team while Abul Kashem Mamun, Milan Mollah and Devdas Roy beat their BKSP rivals 122-121 score in the men's team event.
