Germany stay top, win Team of the Year title

LAUSANNE, Dec 21 (Agencies): Germany, Brazil and Portugal retained the top three places in the latest Fifa rankings released Thursday. Germany finished first to be named the 'Team of the Year' in the rankings.

There was little movement in the FIFA charts with Argentina and Belgium completing the top five and 2018 World Cup hosts Russia placed 64th.

World champions Germany, who qualified to defend their crown in Russia by winning all 10 of their qualifiers and have been unbeaten in 15 matches in 2017, succeeded Argentina and Belgium, who were 'Team of the Year' in 2016 and 2015 respectively, according to FIFA.
