Haurray Wafer School Mini Handball kicks off

The Haurray Wafer School Mini Handball Tournament 2019 in both boys and girls categories was inaugurated at the Shahid Captain Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium at Paltan in the city on Tuesday, reports UNB.

Earlier in the morning, Joint Secretary of Bangladesh Youth and Sports Ministry Omar Faruq formally inaugurated the opening ceremony as the chief guest. Besides, BHF General Secretary Asaduzzaman Kohinoor, tournament committee chairman Masum Shamia Shila, and tournament committee secretary Lajul Karim Kasturi and others were also present there.

In the boys' category, Motijheel Model School defeated Dhanmondi Tutorial by 16-0 goals while Motijheel Ideal School defeated Hid International School by 21-1 goals, Kadamtala Purbo Basabo School defeated South Point School by 14-1 goal, Sunnydale defeated Dhanmondi Tutorial School by 17-1 goals in their first respective matches.

In their second match, Hid International School and Motijheel Ideal School beat Cambrian School by 12-0 and 21-1 goals. Sunnydale clinched their second win beating Motijheel Model School by 5-0 goals.

In the last two matches of the day, Scholastica (Mirpur) School lost their both two matches respectively against Shaheed Police Smrity College by 21-3 goals Scholastica (Uttara) School by 9-4 goals.

In the girls' category, Motijheel Govt Girls High School defeated Milestone School by 14-0 goals. Hid International School defeated Shaheed Police Smriti College by 5-1 goals. Sunnydale School beat Scholastica (Uttara) by 15-4 goals.
