Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) at Mirpur, Dhaka.

The Sri Lanka-Zimbabwe match on January 17 will be the 100th ODI held at the Sher-e- Bangla National Stadium (SBNS). Among the five other stadiums that have reached this landmark, Mirpur has taken the shortest time - a little over 11 years. This level of use as an international venue indicates what the place has meant to Bangladesh cricket, report agencies.

SBNS is known internationally as home of Bangladesh cricket team. This unique ground has the privilege to host 98 ODIs and the Tri-nation ODI tourney is going to be played here from today (Monday).

Bangladesh's match against Zimbabwe, the tri-nation series opener, will be the 99th ODI on this ground. The first One-Day -International was played in SBNS on December 8, 2006 with hosts Bangladesh taking on Zimbabwe.

Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sydney Cricket Ground, Melbourne Cricket Ground, Harare Sports Club and Colombo's R.Premadasa Stadium are the other popular grounds which hosted more than 100 ODIs.

Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium (SNBCS) will become the fastest to reach 100 -ODI mark.
