Inter-District Women's U-15 Kabaddi begins

The Inter-District Women's U-15 Kabaddi Tournament began on Wednesday at the Dhanmondi Sultana Kamal Women's Sports complex in the city with four matches deciding on the opening day, reports UNB.

On the opening day, Narail DSA beat Faridpur by 2-0 points, Rangamati DSA beat Mymensingh DSA also by 2-0 points, Rangpur DSA overcame Gopalganj DSA by 27-21 points while Jamalpur DSA got walkover against Comilla DSA.

Earlier, DIG of Bangladesh Police and General Secretary of Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation M Habibur Rahman inaugurated the two-day meet in the morning.

Senior Vice President of Bangladesh Women's Sports Association Anjuman Ara Aksir presided over the opening ceremony.

Some 228 players of under-15 age group from 19 districts are taking part in the competition, organised by Bangladesh Women's Sports Association.

Participating district teams are: Habiganj, Gopalganj, Dhaka, Rangpur, Barishal, Narail, Kishoreganj, Gazipur, Jamalpur, Mymensingh, Rangamati, Chapainawabganj, Faridpur, Gaibandha, Narayanganj, Madaripur, Cumilla, Bogura and Rajbari.
