Khusbu of BD wins gold medal in Asian Chess

Warsia Khusbu of Bangladesh earned gold medal in under-6 age group of Blitz chess events of the Asian Youth Chess Championships. She was securing seven points after the 9th and last round matches at Lotus Pang Suan Kaew Hotel in Chiang Mai in Thailand on Sunday, reports UNB.

FM Mohammad Fahad Rahman earned a bronze medal in open under-18 age group of the meet enabling Bangladesh to earn one gold and one bronze medal in Blitz chess events.

FM Mohammad Fahad Rahman collected 6.5 points and finished 3rd to bag the bronze medal of the Open Under-18 age group.

FM Mitrabha Guha of India earned gold and FM Xu Zhihang of China earned silver medal in Open Under-18 group.

Tuvshintulga Tumurchudur of Mongolia earned silver and Yalguun Myagmarjav of Mongolia earned bronze medal in under-6 group.
