The list has the likes of Kumar Sangakkara (63) and Mahela Jayawardene (54) from Sri Lanka, Australian Ricky Ponting (71), South Africans Jacques Kallis (62) and Hashim Amla (54) and West Indies legend Brian Lara (53).
Kohli is now the joint fastest to reach the milestone in terms of innings played, along with South African run machine Hashim Amla.
Kohli is also the first Indian captain to score a duck and a century in the same Test.
He has 21 international centuries as captain in 98 innings, behind South African Graeme Smith's 41 (368 innings) and Aussie great Ricky Ponting's feat of 41 (376 innings).
