Kushtia dist sports association gets new executives

A new committee of Kushtia District Sports Association (KDSA) has been elected with Adv Anup Kumar Nandi as secretary of the association.

The election of the KDSA was held in a peaceful manner in the district on Saturday, says a press release.

The voters cast their votes from morning to afternoon.

A total of 66 voters out of 68 cast their votes amid much enthusiasm. A total of 36 candidates contested for 27 posts including secretary and additional secretary.

The panel of Adv Anup Kumar Nandi and Adv Moshadek Ali Moni contested against the panel of Amzad Ali Khan and Khandokar Iqbal Mahmud in the election.

The panel of Adv Anup Kumar Nandi and Adv Moshadek Ali Moni bagged all the posts including general secretary and additional secretary.

Adv Anup Kumar Nandi secured 65 votes while his nearest candidate Amzad Ali Khan got 10 votes, Adv Moshadek Ali Moni bagged 41 votes while his nearest rival Iqbal Mahmud received 25 votes.
