Mountaineer Shakil begins 'Sea to Summit' expedition from Cox's Bazar to Everest peak

To raise awareness about plastic waste management, plastic pollution, carbon emission reduction, and the importance of sustainable environmental solutions, mountaineer Ikramul Hasan Shakil has started his journey on foot from the shores of Cox's Bazar, to Mount Everest on Tuesday, according to a press release.
The programme is titled as 'Sea to Summit'.
The expedition is being fully supported by PRAN, one of the country's food brands. Mr. Noodles, a noodle brand, is collaborating as the snack partner.
He has aimed to establish a Guinness World Record. During this 90-day expedition, he will travel approximately 1,300 kilometers of challenging terrain across Bangladesh, India, and Nepal before reaching Everest's 29,031-foot summit.
