M’singh retain U-14 Nat'l Women's Football title

Mymensingh District clinched the title of the JFA Under-14 National Women's Football Championship for the 3rd successive time beating Thakurgaon District by 3-0 goals in the final at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Friday, reports UNB.

Rozina Akter, who won the Golden Boot for scoring the highest 14 goals in the tournament, put Mymensingh forward in the 5th minute and doubled the lead in the 11th minute while most valuable player of the tournament Samsunnahar extended the winning margin scoring in the 35th minute.

Champions team Mymensingh got Golden Trophy, medals and Tk 50,000 as prize money while runners-up Thakurgaon received Silver Trophy, medal and Tk 25,000 as prize money.
