Nat'l Beach Volleyball begins in Cox's Bazar on Sept 29

Biman Bangladesh National Beach Volleyball Tournament (Men's and Women's) under the auspices of Bangladesh Volleyball Federation will begin on Saturday (September 29) at Sugandha point of Cox's Bazar sea beach, reports UNB.

State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism AKM Shahjahan Kamal will inaugurate the five-day meet. Deputy Office Secretary of Awami League Barrister Biplab Barua will be the chief guest at the closing function on October 3.

A total of 18 teams -- 10 men's and eight women's -- will compete in the tournament.

Men's participating teams: Power Development Board, Border Guard Bangladesh, Bangladesh Police, Bangladesh Jail, Water Development Board, Bangladesh Ansar, Wari Club, Chattogram University, Gopalganj DSA and hosts Cox's Bazar DSA

Women's teams: Bangladesh Ansar, Bangladesh Police, Dhaka University, Chattogram DSA, Gazipur DSA, Friends Union Club, Nabajagaroni Sangha and Begum Anwara SC.
