Nat'l School Football begins today

The 54-team National School Football Championship will begin today (Monday) in seven separate venues across the country aiming to bring out the future star booters, reports UNB.

Eight matches will be held on the opening day at four venues -- MA Aziz Stadium in Chattogram, Muktijoddha Smriti Stadium in Rajshahi, Rangpur Medical Collage Playground and Satkhira Stadium.

The other venues are: Shaheed Ahsanullah Master Stadium [Tongi, Dhaka], Murari Chand College Playground [Sylhet] and Abdur Rab Serniabad Stadium [Barishal].

In the 1st phase, two top teams from each group will play the venue final and the venue champions will move to the national phase.

Tournament committee chairman and Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) member Bijon Barua disclosed the details in a press conference at BFF House in the city on Saturday.

BFF Senior Vice-President Abdus Salam Murshedy, General Secretary Abu Nyeem Sohag and sponsor organisation 'Goodluck Stationary' Brand Manager Ahsanuzzaman Khan were also present on the occasion.
