Nawabpur KC, Friends make a good start

Nawabpur Krira Chakra and Friends Social Welfare Organisation (SWO) made a good start in the 13-team TVS Dhaka Metropolis Senior Division Football League 2018-19 by winning their respective matches on Sunday, reports UNB.

In the day's first match, Nawabpur Krira Chakra beat Jatrabari Krira Chakra by 1-0 goal at Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Shipahi Mohammad Mustafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur.

After a barren first half, Dulal Hossain scored the match-winner for Nawabpur KC in the 51st minute.

In day's second match, Friends SWO defeated PWD SC by 1-0 goal at the same venue.

Rimon Hossain scored the match-decider for Friends Social Welfare in the 16th minute.

Bashabo Tarun Sangha will play Dhaka United Sports Club at 01:30 pm while Bangladesh Boys Club will take on Badda Jagoroni Sangsad at 3:30 pm today (Monday).

A total of 13 teams are taking part in the league on double-leg basis.
