Oman U-21 Hockey team due in city tomorrow

Oman U-21 Hockey team will arrive in the city tomorrow (Monday) responding to Bangladesh Hockey Federation's (BHF) invitation to play five practice matches against Bangladesh U-21 Hockey team, reports UNB.

The matches will be played between October 08 and 18 at Maulana Bhasani Hockey Stadium, a media official of BHF told the news agency on Saturday.

Bangladesh U-21 players are getting ready for the upcoming Junior Asia Cup 2020 in Dhaka.

BHF has initially picked 35 players to form the U-21 team for the Junior Asia Cup Hockey, which is also the qualifying meet for the Junior Hockey World Cup.

They are now undergoing training at the Maulana Bhasani Hockey Stadium under supervision of coach Mamun-ur-Rashid. They were scheduled to tour India to play 16 practice matches against four Indian state teams in September, but the tour was cancelled due to visa complications.
