January 28, 2026 00:00:00

Pakistan Under-19 seamers Ali Raza and Abdul Subhan shared seven wickets as they allowed New Zealand only 110 in the ODI tournament, leading the South Asian nation to cruise to an easy win in a run chase powered by the calm batting performance of Sameer Minhas.

The commanding eight-wicket victory on Tuesday in the fifth match of Super Six Group II at the ICC Under 19 World Cup was a continuation of Pakistan's strong run in the tournament, report agencies.

After winning the toss, Pakistan put New Zealand in to bat and were rewarded immediately as their bowlers dominated the proceedings. New Zealand Under-19s were bowled out for 110 in 28.3 overs, never recovering from early setbacks. Abdul Subhan delivered a sensational spell, finishing with outstanding figures of 4 for 11 from 6.3 overs, applying relentless pressure and dismantling the middle order.
