Qatar Airways offers discounts to celebrate Asian Cup win

Qatar Airways has congratulated Qatar's national team for winning the 2019 AFC Asian Cup as it is the first time the team has ever won the AFC Asian Cup.

To celebrate the occasion, Qatar Airways announced a special discount of up to 25 per cent on fares, says press release.

Privilege Club members will also have the opportunity to earn up to double Qmiles and Qpoints. The sale will be valid till February 14, 2019, with travel validity till August 31, 2019.

In addition, Qatar Duty Free (QDF) will be offering a special two week-long sale till February 14, 2019, with a 20 per cent discount on purchases at QDF stores.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker said, "This is a very proud moment for the State of Qatar. We could not be more proud of our national team for their inspiring performance throughout the tournament, despite much political pressure and an ill-judged campaign undertaken by the tournament's host country, which is taking part in the illegal blockade against our country. Qatar's national team, shrewdly managed by Félix Sánchez, has truly inspired all of us with their resilience, dignity and footballing skill."
