Cristiano Ronaldo has set another record in his long list of achievements - by winning the Portuguese player of the year award for a 10th time, reports https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news.

The 34-year-old topped the shortlist of nominees which consisted of Atletico Madrid's Joao Felix , Man City's Bernardo Silva , Wolves ' Ruben Neves and Sporting Lisbon's Bruno Fernandes.

Ronaldo has now won the award in every year bar twice since 2007, with legend Luis Figo second in the all-time list with six wins.

The only seasons he did not collect the accolade were when Simao won it in 2010, and in 2014 when Pepe was crowned the victor.
