Sohel plays even-par in PGM MIDF Championship

Bangladesh's promising golfer Shakhawat Hossain Sohel shared the 18th spot in the approximate US$58,000 PGM MIDF Championship after the first round at Kota Seriemas Golf and Country Club course in Malaysia on Wednesday, reports UNB.

Sohel, who claimed the PGM Miri Championship title for his maiden Asian Development Tour (ADT) in early September in Malaysia, carded even-par 72 on the opening day and stayed five shots behind the three joint leaders.

Two Thai contenders Itthipat Buranatanyarat and Donlaphatchai Niyomchon and Tarik Can of USA shared the lead after the first round of ADT event. Sohel shared his spot with 10 other golfers.
