Sonali Bank earn victory over Wanderers Club

Sonali Bank Club earned a massive 13-1 goals victory over Dhaka Wanderers Club in the Green Delta Insurance Metropolis Premier Division Hockey League at the Maulana Bhashani Hockey Stadium in the city on Monday, reports UNB.

Rajib Das struck five, Deen Islam Emon four, Prosenjit Roy three and Fazle Hossain scored one, all are the field goals for the bankers' team. Prosanta Roy netted the consolation goal for Wanderers.

In the day's other match, Wari Club beat Sadharan Bima KS by 4-3 goals at the same venue.

Samir Roy struck two, Mukitul Islam and Avoi Ekka netted one each for Wari Club while Abdullah Al Mansur, Zahid Bin Talib and Joga Singh scored for the insurance men's team.

Meanwhile, defending champions Dhaka Mariner Young Club will face their giant rival Dhaka Abahani Limited today (Tuesday) at 4.0 pm for the 2nd slot in the first phase as both the teams have secured 27 points from 10 matches.

Dhaka Mohammedan SC dominated the league in the first phase with all-win record securing 33 points from eleven matches.
