Soumya to lead BCB XI for warm-up tie against Zimbabwe

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on Wednesday a 12-man squad to face visiting Zimbabwe for a one-day practice match to be held at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) in Savar tomorrow (Friday), reports UNB.

Soumya Sarker, who is not in the main squad for Bangladesh's three-match day-night ODI series against Zimbabwean, will lead the BCB XI in the practice match.

Zimbabweans are now on a tour to Bangladesh for three ODIs and two Tests against the host side.

The first ODI is scheduled to be held at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) at Mirpur in the city on October 21 before the series moved to the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium (ZACS) in Chattogram for the next two matches on October 24 and 26.

The first Test will be held in Sylhet from November 03 to 07 followed by the second and final game from November 11 to 15 in Dhaka.

BCB XI: Soumya Sarker (Captain), Mizanur Rahman, Fazle Rabbi Mahmud, Musaddek Hossain Saikat, Zakir Hossain, Ariful Hoque, Afif Hossain Dhrubo, Shaifuddin, Yeasin Mishu, Ebadot Hossain Chowdhury, Morshedul Akhter and Nyeem Hasan.
