Sri Lanka football team reach Nilphamari to play FIFA Friendly

The Sri Lanka National Football team reached Nilphamari Monday noon to play a FIFA International Friendly match against hosts Bangladesh ahead of the seven-nation SAFF Suzuki Cup Football'2018 beginning on September 4 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka, reports UNB.
The lone FIFA International Friendly match between Bangladesh and touring Sri Lanka will be held on Wednesday (August 29) at 4 pm at the 21,000 capacity Sheikh Kamal Stadium in Nilphamari.
Bangladesh Television will telecast the match live while Bangladesh Betar will broadcast running commentary of the match.
The Sri Lanka team arrived in Dhaka Sunday night along with the 2nd batch of Bangladesh National Football team players from Indonesia and flew for Syedpur Monday morning en-route to Rangpur, where the team will stay.
However, Bangladesh team will fly for Syedpur en-route to Rangpur today (Tuesday) to play the friendly.
Bangladesh, which was placed in Group A with Bhutan, Nepal and Pakistan, will play Bhutan in the 2nd match on the opening day (Sept 4) while Pakistan will play Nepal in the opening match. India, Sri Lanka and the Maldives have been put in Group B of the meet.
Meanwhile, most of the tickets for the match have already been sold out from bank counters in the first two days (Sunday and Monday),a few more tickets will also be released on Tuesday.
