V-Day Tennis meet inaugurated

Shahjalal Islami Bank Victory Day Tennis competition inaugurated on Friday at National Tennis court complex in the capital, reports BSS.

Abdul Hai Sarkar, chairman of Purbani Group and president of Bangladesh Tennis Federation (BTF) formally inaugurated the eight-day meet, which is being held marking the victory day.

Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC Vice-chairman Mohammad Younus and its Managing Director Mosleh Uddin Ahmed were present as special guests.

Organised by BTF, the competition of the events included men's singles, men's doubles, women's singles, women's doubles, boys' singles U-18, girls' singles U-18, boys' singles U-14 and girls' singles U-14.

A total Tk 3,35,000 cash reward will be given for men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles and women's doubles events.

In addition, trophies and certificates will be awarded to the winning players of all events.

A total of 210 players from 30 clubs/associations have already are participating in the meet.
