Chittagong Vikings beat Khulna Titans after the first-ever super over in the history of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) on Saturday at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city, reports UNB.

It was the second win of the Vikings in the season while Khulna suffered fourth loss in a row.

Ariful Haque conceded 18 runs in the last over while the Vikings were struggling to chase down the target of 152 as they needed 19.

The Vikings scored 151/8 in 20 overs. So, the match went into a tie-breaker in the super over, for the first time in the history of BPL.

Nayeem Hasan struck a six in the second ball of last over while Robbie Frylinck hit two in the fourth and fifth ball. Chittagong failed to score any run barring those three sixes in the last over.

In the super over, Chittagong scored 11 while Pakistani pacer Junaid Khan bowled the only over for Khulna. He also grabbed the wicket of Robbie Frylinck who bowled for Chittagong later and defended the total.

Carlos Brathwaite managed only one in the first ball, but Dawid Malan hit the second ball for a four through the cover. In the third ball, David managed a double but in the fourth ball Brathwaite ran himself out.

Stirling was the next batsman of Khulna who scored two in the fifth ball, and they were needed three runs from the last ball but could manage only one run. Eventually, Chittagong Viking won the match.
