Walton CZ earn win over Prime Bank South Zone

Walton Central Zone earned a 37-run win against Prime Bank South Zone in the 4th and final day of the four-day Bangladesh Cricket League match that concluded at BKSP ground 3 in Savar Tuesday, reports UNB.

Chasing a target of 310 runs in the 2nd innings, Prime Bank South Zone resumed the final day with 159 for 3 and were all out for 272 runs adding 113 more runs Tuesday.

Ziaur Rahman scored 45 runs off 71 balls, including two fours and four sixes.

Mahmudullah of Walton Central Zone captured 12 wickets in two innings --seven wickets for 94 runs in the first innings and five wickets for 96 runs in the 2nd innings-in addition to scoring 36 and 41 runs respectively in two innings and was adjudged man of the match.

Walton Central Zone first innings: 165 all out in 39.4 overs;

Mahmudullah 36, Nurul Hasan 32, Shahriar Nafees 30, Shohag Gazi 4/67, Abdur Razzak 3/44.

2nd innings: 374 for all out in 87.4 overs, Marshal Ayub 126, Shamsur Rahman 65, Mahmudullah 41, Abdur Razzak 4/103, Taiabur Parvez 3/34.

Prime Bank South Zone first innings: 230 for all out in 64.2 overs;

Mithun 88, Taiabur Parvez 31, Abdur Razzak 17, Shuvagata Hom 17, Mahmudullah 7/94.

2nd innings: 272 for all out in 81.4 overs (overnight 159 for 3);

Imrul Kayes 74, Anamul Haque 67, Ziaur Rahman 45, Mahmudullah 5/96, Elias Sunny 3/81.
