West Indies play BCB XI in two-dayer in Chattogram today

Two Bangladeshi umpires endorsed to ICC panel

Touring West India team will start their campaign in Bangladesh taking on BCB Eleven in a two-day first warm-up match beginning today (Sunday) at MA Aziz Stadium in Chattogram, reports UNB.

The match will kick off at 9:30 am (Bangladesh time).

Earlier, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced a 13-member BCB Eleven to play the two-dayer against the Caribbean team naming national pacer Rubel Hossain as the captain.

Earlier, two Bangladeshi umpires-Gazi Sohel and Tanvir Ahmed-have been enlisted as the International Cricket Council (ICC) Panel Umpire to conduct international matches.

They received through e-mail message from the ICC on Saturday morning in this regard.

They will also get an opportunity to conduct some Bangladesh-West Indies matches of the ongoing series.

Meanwhile, Gazi Sohel will conduct the West Indies-BCB X1 two-day match beginning in Chattogram today (Sunday) with another ICC panel umpire Masudur Rahman Mukul.

BCB X1 Squad: Rubel Hossain (Captain), Soumya Sarker, Zakir Hossain, Mizanur Rahman, Fazle Mahmud Rabbi, Ebadat Hossain Chowdhury, Sadman Islam, Nazmul Islam Shanto, Nayeem Hasan, Shafiul Islam, Robiul Haque, Mohamamd Mithun and Rishad Ahmed.
