Young Tigers face New Zealand today

After winning the five-match Youth ODI series 3-0, Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket team will play New Zealand U-19 side in the 4th match of the series at Bert Sutcliffe Oval, Lincoln, New Zealand today (Wednesday), reports UNB.

Bangladesh made a good start beating New Zealand by six wickets in the first match, featuring a good contribution by Shoriful Islam, Mrittunjoy Chowdhury and Akbar Ali.

Shoriful and Mrittunjoy bagged three wickets each while Akbar hit an unbeaten 65 runs to seal the victory.

Bangladesh earned the 2nd consecutive victory beating hosts Kiwis team by six wickets, featuring superb performance of Tanzid Hasan (65) and Mahmudul Hasan Joy (99).

The young Tigers continued their outstanding show in NZ tour beating the hosts by eight wickets in the 3rd match. Bangladesh U-19 team are keen to continue their winning streak in the remaining matches of the series and will play the 5th and final one-day match on October 13 at the same venue.
