Zahid emerges champion in DU SM Hall Sports

Zahid Hasan, a second-year dance student, emerged champion in the Annual Sports Competition of the Salimullah Muslim (SM) Hall of Dhaka University on Wednesday, reports UNB.

Nasir Uddin, a final-year geography and environment student finished runner-up in the day-long competition held at the central field of the university.

DU Treasure Prof Dr Md Kamal Uddin inaugurated the competition as the chief guest in the morning. DU Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof Dr Nasreen Ahmad graced the closing ceremony as the chief guest and distributed prizes among the winners.

SM Hall Provost Prof Dr Md Mahbubul Alam Joarder, Advisor of Physical Education Centre Prof Dr M Ziaul Hoque Mamun, President of DU Athletics Committee Prof Dr Md Nizamul Hoque Bhuiyan, house tutors, students of the hall and officials were present at the programme.
