68 women entrepreneurs graduate from BRACU, DIU

BRAC Bank, in collaboration with BRAC University (BRACU) and Daffodil International University (DIU), hosted graduation ceremonies for 68 women who completed its entrepreneur accelerator programme.

BRAC Bank, in collaboration with BRAC University (BRACU), and Daffodil International University (DIU), hosted graduation ceremonies for 68 women of its entrepreneur accelerator programme, Uddokta 101.

A total of 38 women from BRACU and 30 from DIU successfully completed the programme, according to a statement.

The ceremony of BRACU took place on February 20, 2025, followed by DIU's on February 27, 2025.

The accelerator programme comes especially against the backdrop of an increasing number of women venturing into the business field.

This intensive capacity building programme was aimed at supporting promising entrepreneurs in honing their managerial and entrepreneurial skills so that they could sustain and scale up businesses.

This three-month certification course covered business, financial, and managerial skills, team-building, mental health awareness, and a business factory visit.

Senior BRAC Bank officials, including Syed Abdul Momen, deputy managing director and head of SME, along with other business leaders, attended the events. Faculty members from both universities, including Dr. Nusrat Hafiz, assistant professor and the director of the Women Empowerment Cell at BRACU; and Dr. Masum Iqbal, professor and the dean of DIU's Faculty of Business and Entrepreneurship, attended the ceremonies.

BRAC Bank's Uddokta 101 continues to be a transformative initiative, equipping women entrepreneurs with the skills and networks needed to build sustainable businesses, read the statement.
