The board of directors of Shahjalal Islami Bank has unanimously re-elected A.K. Azad as chairman in their 389th board meeting on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the board also re-elected Mohammed Younus and Mohiuddin Ahmed as vice chairmen, according to a press release.
Mr. Azad, an eminent industrialist and businessman, was born in a reputable Muslim family of Faridpur district in 1959. He is the managing director of Ha-Meem Group of Companies and was a former president of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
Renowned industrialist and businessman Mr. Younus, was born in a respectable Muslim family in Munshiganj in 1958. He has a business experience of more than three decades. He is engaged in newspaper and raw-material industries, IT, merchant bank, agro sector, fabrics and also cold storages trade industry.
Meanwhile, Mohiuddin Ahmed was born in a prominent Muslim family in Old Dhaka's Bangshal in 1955. He has experience in business for more than four decades.
He is the proprietor of Rupsha Trading Corporation and Mohiuddin Auto House. He is also the chairman of Pacific Automobiles and sponsor shareholder of Islami Insurance Bangladesh.
