AB Bank tops turnover chart

AB Bank Monday topped the scrip-wise turnover chart of the premier bourse after featuring a value of above Tk 876 million. The company's share trading closed at Tk 25.50 with a rise of 6.72 per cent or Tk 1.60 per share.

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) featured a turnover of Tk 11.58 billion. Some 38.74 per cent of total turnover value came from transactions of shares of top 10 turnover leaders.

Among other turnover leaders, Lankabangla Finance grabbed 6.36 per cent of the market turnover with its own turnover of Tk 736 million. The company's share price declined 0.44 per cent to close at Tk 68.20.

Dhaka Bank featured a turnover of Tk 513 million and captured 4.43 per cent of the market turnover. The company's share price rose 2.82 per cent to close at Tk 25.60.

Square Pharmaceuticals featured a turnover of Tk 501 million and captured 4.33 per cent of the market turnover. The company's share trading closed at Tk 310.80 with a rise of 3.02 per cent or Tk 9.10.

Shahjalal Islami Bank captured 3.45 per cent of the market turnover after featuring a turnover of Tk 399 million. The company's share price rose 5.78 per cent to close at Tk 34.80 per share.

BRAC Bank featured a turnover of Tk 350 million and grabbed 3.02 per cent of the market turnover. The company's share trading closed at Tk 106.80 with a loss of 3.0 per cent or Tk 3.3.

City Bank captured 2.93 per cent of the market turnover by featuring a value of Tk 339 million. The company's shares trading closed at Tk 56.50 with a rise of 0.53 per cent.

FAS Finance & Investment featured a turnover of Tk 330 million and captured 2.85 per cent of the DSE's turnover. The company's share price rose 8.14 per cent to close at Tk 23.90.

International Leasing & Financial Services and IDLC Finance featured a turnover of Tk 2.25 million and Tk 1.55 million respectively.
