Abdul Aziz joins EXIM Bank as AMD

Abdul Aziz (Zumma) recently joined EXIM Bank as additional managing director. Before joining the bank, he held the same position at Shahjalal Islami Bank, according to a statement.

Abdul Aziz began his professional journey as an officer at NCC Bank in 1986. He later joined First Security Islami Bank as assistant vice president in 1999 and moved to Shahjalal Islami Bank as senior vice president in 2005.

Over the years, he has served in senior executive roles at First Security Islami Bank, and Shahjalal Islami Bank, managing key areas such as corporate banking, SME, export trade, special asset management, and retail. He also served as chairman of the investment committee and chief business officer.

Abdul Aziz holds a master's degree and an honours degree in management from Dhaka University. He also has a Bachelor of Laws degree.

He enriched his professional capabilities by

participating in various training programmes in both at home and abroad including in the UK, Germany, Japan, Malaysia and Nepal.
