Ashit Kumar, Jhahedul Alam elected as directors of Standard Bank

Asit Kumar Saha and Jhahedul Alam have been elected as directors of Standard Bank PLC, says a press release.

The decision came at the 403rd board meeting of the bank held on December 15, 2024 and with the approval of Bangladesh Bank dated February 03, 2025.

A distinguished entrepreneur Mr Ashit is the Managing Director of NGS Cement Industries Ltd, AK Saha Steel Industries (PVT) Ltd, Uttam Oil Mills Ltd and NG Saha Steel Industries (PVT) Ltd.

Mr Ashit completed his B.Com (Honors) from Government College of Commerce, Chattogram.

Jhahedul Alam is an experienced business professional having a B.Sc. (Honors) degree in Economics from Queen Mary University, London.

Mr Jhahedul is the Managing Partner of M/s Super Electronics, M/s Radiovision, JP Sons and White Rabbit, Managing Director of Hay Agro Pvt Ltd and Deputy Managing Director of Shufola Multi Products Ltd.

He is a Director of Mizuki Household Products Ltd and PAM Complex Pvt Ltd.
