The Training and Communication Wing of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) hosted the 'BARI Innovative Technology Exhibition and Agricultural Education Motivational Programme for Youth' at the institute's Kazi Badruddoza auditorium on Tuesday.
Students of BARI High School, young agricultural entrepreneurs and various stakeholders related to agriculture participated in this event, which is a part of the celebration of 'Youth Festival-2025', says a press statement.
A workshop was held after the technology exhibition. BARI's Director (Training and communication) Dr Md Ataur Rahman presided over the session while Director General of BARI Dr Md Abdullah Yousuf Akhond was present as the chief guest.
Principal Scientific Officer (Training and Communication) Dr Md Abdur Razzaque gave a brief presentation on BARI.
Director (Research) Dr. Munshi Rashid Ahmad and Director (Support & Services) Dr. Ashraf Uddin Ahmed were present as special guests.
Director (Planning & Evaluation) Dr. Md. Mazharul Anwar; Director (Oilseed Research Center) Dr. Md. Monjurul Kadir; Director (Tuber Crop Research Center) Dr. Md. Altaf Hossain were also present.
The 'Youth Festival' was coordinated by Senior Scientific Officer (Training and Communication Wing) Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman.
Various improved varieties, modern cultivation methods, environment-friendly agricultural technologies and exportable agricultural products invented by BARI were displayed at the exhibition.
