BGMEA, Lectra sign MoU on advanced technology training

Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) signed on Thursday a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Lectra Singapore PTE Ltd, a globally renowned technology company specialising in CAD/CAM and digital solutions for the apparel and textile industry, reports BSS.

This partnership aims to strengthen education, research, and skill development by integrating Lectra's advanced design and product-development technologies into the training programs conducted for BGMEA's students and industry professionals.

The MoU signing ceremony was held at the BGMEA Complex in the capital's Uttara. BGMEA's Acting President Inamul Haq Khan and Pascal Pierra, Vice President of Lectra, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organisations.

Under this MoU, Lectra will provide BGMEA with 15 complimentary licenses of its world-class CAD/CAM software solutions-including Kaledo Style, Modaris 3D, and DiaminoFashion

Interactive.

Through these software solutions, BGMEA's students and instructors will receive hands-on training in advanced design, pattern making, and marker-making.

This will significantly enhance students' readiness

for the job market and boost their employability.
