Selim R. F. Hussain, Managing Director & CEO of BRAC Bank and senior officials seen in the event BRAC Bank Limited has observed National Mourning Day with due respect and solemnity marking the 44th death anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
All employees of the Bank paid rich tributes to Bangabandhu through various programmes at different offices spread across Bangladesh.
The national flag was hoisted half-mast atop its Head Office and commemorative banners were displayed at all branches and other offices spread across the country.
The Bank organized a mourning programme at its Head Office recently. The employees, wearing black badges, observed one-minute silence to pay homage to Bangabandhu.
The Managing Director & CEO of BRAC Bank Selim R. F. Hussain attended the programme and narrated the life and achievements of Bangabandhu. All senior officials of the Bank were also present.
Poems on Bangabandhu were recited by the employees while reminiscing the life, work and leadership of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The programme concluded by offering a collective prayer, seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu and his family members who were killed on August 15, 1975.
