CCCI election set for Nov 1

CHATTOGRAM, Aug 11: The election to the board of directors of the Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), the country's oldest trade body, will be held on November 1 for the 2025-26 and 2026-27 terms.
The election schedule was announced by the election board formed by the Ministry of Commerce.
According to the schedule, nomination papers can be collected between September 14 and 20, and the deadline for submission set for September 21. The full schedule is available on the chamber's website: www.chittagongchamber.com.
On September 2, 2024, the then CCCI committee, including all 24 directors and President Omar Hajjaz, resigned following the country's political changeover. The resignations were submitted to the Ministry of Commerce.
