Syed Ali Mokarrum was present The Dhaka Mercantile Co-operative Bank Limited (DMCB) inaugurated its 128th branch at Mathbaria Upazila of Pirojpur district recently, according to a statement.
The branch was formally inaugurated by Chairman of DMCB Group Captain (Retd.) Abu Zafar Chowdhury, GD(P), Psc.
The chairman said the main aim of the DMCB is to reduce poverty, improve socio-economic condition and create employment of the members of DMCB by providing them easy investment through cooperatives.
"We want to improve socio-economic conditions of all small and medium business entrepreneur members of this region by providing them with easy investment through cooperatives," he said.
Among others, Vice-chairman of DMCB Pilot Officer (Retd.) Syed Ali Mokarrum, senior officials of head office, branch manager and local members including prominent citizens and businessmen were also present in the inauguration ceremony.
