Doreen Power tops turnover chart on DSE, CSE

Doreen Power Generations and Systems Sunday topped the volume charts on both the stock exchanges.

The company was also the number one gainer following its growth reported in quarterly disclosure for July-September, 2016 compared to same period of the previous year.

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) Sunday featured a turnover of above Tk 5.67 billion and top 10 turnover leaders captured around 27.40 per cent of total market turnover.

The chart of the DSE's turnover leaders includes IT Consultants, MJL Bangladesh, Saif Powertech and Mozaffar Hossain.   

Among the top turnover leaders of the premier bourse, Doreen Power Generations and Systems topped the chart with a value of Tk 519.70 million. The company captured 9.20 per cent of the market turnover.

The Doreen Power Generations and Systems reported its consolidated EPS of Tk 2.22 for July-September, 2016 as against Tk. 0.36 for July-September, 2015. The consolidated net asset value (NAV) per share with revaluation was Tk. 36.56 as of September 30, 2016 and Tk. 34.34 as of June 30, 2016, whereas the consolidated net asset value (NAV) per share without revaluation was Tk. 26.99 as of September 30, 2016 and Tk. 24.67 as of June 30, 2016.

IT Consultants featured a turnover of Tk 157.4 million and captured 2.8 per cent of the market turnover.

MJL Bangladesh posted a turnover of Tk 148.50 million and captured 2.6 per cent of the turnover witnessed by the premier bourse.

The turnover of Saif Powertech was Tk 126.90 million which was 2.2 per cent of total market turnover.

Mozaffar Hossain Spinning Mills posted a turnover of Tk 125.90 million and captured 2.2 per cent of the turnover featured by the DSE.

Among the top turnover leaders of the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), Doreen Power Generations and Systems featured a turnover of Tk 24.49 million followed by Fortune Shoes Tk 21.32 million, National Bank Limited Tk 20.81 million, BSRM Limited Tk 16.70 million and Grameenphone Tk 15.15 million.
